Paper decorations for a Hobonichi Techo planner, drawn by the Japanese illustrator Yuri Sanae. It is all one scene: a lake in a forest, with a swan, flowers and plants.

It is all made to go on top of writing rather than beside it. The clear and translucent parts let the words underneath show through, so you can decorate a day you have already filled in.

Why people love it
• Glassine, a thin see-through paper, gives a soft haze over the page instead of blocking it
• The clear pieces are crisp and glossy, with silver among the flowers and plants
• The washi pieces are matte and take a pen, so a note can go straight on top of one
• The two materials are meant to be stacked, so the same swan or flower changes with what sits under it
• Cut to fit a square on the monthly calendar and a line on a daily page, in the Original, the Cousin and the Weeks
• Small enough to live in the pocket of a Techo cover

The set is sold as the stickers or as the sticky notes, shown above.
